Adventures in Marvel: Spider-Men #3

Yes, I am actually on issue #3 of a Marvel title, who’d have thought I’d make it this far in? I sure didn’t think I would. I don’t want to spend much time on backstory, as there isn’t a whole lot of backstory about this comic, let me just go straight into it! Here is what I liked about Spider-Men #3

1. The action in the comic was short and to the point.
2. We see both Spidey’s actually being intelligent for once.
3. The Ultimates show up.
4. Peter finally learns what happened to him in this universe.
5. We see more people react to Peter in the Ultimate Universe.

The series finally becomes what it should be. We see more people react to Peter and find Peter interacting with Ultimate Aunt May and Gwen Stacey. While only brief, we see what this comic should be about, discover, revelation, and growth. Not silly action scenes with poorly done villains. This comic finally makes the step towards being a great series, and for the first time, I am honestly excited about the next issue, which I can’t say about either of the previous issues.

Until the next time, live long and prosper.
